Richard Bateson
Richard joined Camelot in 2001 as a Project Manager, leading the team which developed and successfully launched EuroMillions, before becoming Controller of Game Development and Scratchcards, responsible for new product development and Scratchcards. He was promoted to the position of Marketing Director in 2009 and is responsible for The National Lottery brand (game development and day-to-day performance) and related marketing activity (creative and planning), as well as the broadcast, creative services and e-commerce functions.
Prior to joining Camelot, Richard worked at Fujitsu as part of the company’s graduate training programme and, before that, at Unilever in Canada, initially as an interim while at university before joining their brand team.
