Audience growth boosts mediaPro's multichannel marketing credentials
A massive rise in the number of marketers attending this year’s mediaPro has endorsed its claim to be the leading integrated communications event.
mediaPro is the only event in the UK that is dedicated to helping marketers communicate and engage with their audience through and across all channels. In November at Olympia more than 4,500 marketers and customer communication professionals came through the doors to visit more than 150 suppliers and listen to more than 100 hours of world class presentations.
“This year we took as our theme Inspire, Innovate, Integrate and we took that to heart ourselves,” said event director, Tom Vine. “Our visitors took Inspiration from the seminars, our exhibitors loved the Innovations like the social media lounge and we have integrated mediaPro into a coherent package that is meeting a growing commercial need.”
A packed programme of case study and thought leadership featured the likes of O2, Cogent Elliot, Google, Camelot, Hewlett Packard, LoveFilm, Boots, Arsenal, EMI, Play.com and Barclaycard.
One visitor Philipa Richardson from TTT Moneycorp said: “It’s a great event. The sessions have been very good and the whole focus on integrated communications very much matches up with what we are trying to do.” Jude Liddle of HB Fuller added: “The concept of mediaPro fits very well with the way we are thinking. Although people mainly think of using social media in a B2C environment, we want to get ahead of the game using it in a B2B.”
And exhibitors left the show happy as well: “We’ve had good quality visitors and in good numbers. This is simply the best show we have ever done,” said Mike Wild, sales director, Brandworkz. While Kate Moore, the marketing communications manager at HH Global, said: “We’ve been expanding our offering across all channels and rebranding and so now mediaPro is a very good fit for us. We have had a great response to the stand – it’s been very positive.”
Now in its fourth year, mediaPro has focused on integrated customer communications and has now successfully united a once seemingly disparate group of marketers, agencies and publishers with a broad range of technology and solution providers.
“A couple of years ago many people looked aghast at what we were doing but I think what has been happening in the market is reflected in where we’ve taken the show and proved we were right,” said Vine. “mediaPro has defined a market recognised by suppliers and visitors and we look forward to taking more forward steps with our community in 2012.
Next year's mediaPro takes place on 23rd & 24th October in the new West Hall at Olympia. If you want to know more about next year's event, contact Tom on 0207 348 5261 or email at tom.vine@mediaproexpo.co.uk
